Welcome on +8mag.net, the homepage of the Hardcore Deep Sky Observers Club!

Domain 8mag.net is run by group of amateur astronomers from Czech and Slovak Republic with a passion in observing under darkest skies possible. Its name came from eight+ limiting magnitude. It is the faintest apparent magnitude (brightness) of a celestial object visible by naked eye under really dark skies.

  [Tatry]The HC DSO (Hard Core Deep Sky Observers) club is an informal group of people interested in finding best sites for deep sky observing. It was established on our very first trip StarTatry2005. On this trip a spontaneously created group of people joined together and become a core team for similar trips in coming years. • Kulové hvězdokupy - Třetí katalog z Best-of série – Kulové hvězdokupy by Vic (12.May.2011 13:00)

  Přehled kulových hvězdokup na naší obloze. Do tabulky byly vybrány objekty vhodné k pozorování běžnou amatérskou astronomickou technikou s deklinací nad −37,1° a jasností do 12,5 mag. z NGC/IC katalogu. Seřazeny jsou podle rostoucí rektascenze. Třída určuje koncentraci směrem k jádru podle Shapleye a Sawyerové (I = velmi koncentrované, téměř stelární jádro, XII = bez koncentrace, rovnoměrně rozptýlená).
